Art Products and the Passion Works Approach
We are dedicated to and fascinated with:
  • Responding to the artwork created by the Passion Works core artists as inspiration for design. The core artists are individuals with developmental differences.
  • Upcycling materials
  • The Passion Works color palette.
  • The collaborative process. Our core artists blend their talents and work alongside local professional artists.
  • Developing a vibrant cottage industry, comprised of makers from Appalachian Ohio, to create unique handmade products.

Passion Works products are bright, fun, and funky. No two handmade items are exactly alike but there are consistencies. The size, shape and color palette are consistent while the overall texture and combination of colors will vary.

For example: Passion Flowers are made from newspaper printing plates. Sheets of aluminum, the size of a broadsheet newspaper, are cleaned, given a coat of paint and then Passion Works artists add what they like (polka dots, animals, stories, numbers, houses). The design encourages the freedom of exploration. The metal is then cut down into petal shapes and screwed into a block of wood creating the three-dimensional Passion Flower. The shape and size of the Passion Flower is consistent, but each flower is unique with a celebration of the creative spirit.

Passion Works is an art studio and a production house. We respect the creative process and design products that we enjoy making and tap into the creative abundance in all the makers.

When you receive your Passion Works pieces - there will be delightful surprises and evidence of our mission: “To Inspire and Liberate the Human Spirit Through the Arts”
